A trade license is a document/certificate that gives the permission to the applicant (person seeking to open a business) to commence a particular trade or business in a particular area/location. However, the license does not allow the holder to any other trade or business than for it is issued. Furthermore, this license does not pass on any kind of property ownership to the holder of the license
Documents Required to Apply for a Trade License
- Form 353 duly filled
- PAN card with incorporation certificate
- No Objection Certificate from neighbour of business property.
- Letter of consent or lease documents from the property owner.
- The city survey map of the business property.
- Tax receipts
- Authorized layout plan of the premises, in case, if the business deals with explosives, timber, and dangerous goods.
Labour licence
Any contractor engaging 20 or more contract Workers is required to get labour license
Documents Required
- Form No.I-Application for Registration of establishment employing building workers
- Copy of Form No.IIi.e copy of certificate of Registration granted to the Principal Employer.
- Form No.V-i.e. Certificate by the Principal Employer.
- Form No.VI A-i.e Notice of commencement of contract work by the contractor.
- Copy of agreement or work order entered in between the Principal Employer and contractor
- Joint Undertaking both by Principal Employer and Contractor stating for payment of notified minimum wages to the contract labour engaged by them.
